COVID Precautions
We ask you to observe the following precautions at all our rehearsals:
With the aim of minimising the possibility of Virus transmission around the Choral Society and more widely into the school, we will ask you to observe the following precautions at all our rehearsals:
Individual precautions
-
You should be fully vaccinated. (This may be mandatory for some performance venues – as well as a sensible step to minimise the severity of your illness should you catch the virus!)
-
If possible, you should conduct a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) in the 24 hours before each rehearsal or performance, to reassure yourself that you are free of the bug!
-
LFT packs are easily obtained from local pharmacies; for more details go to:https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/regular-rapid-coronavirus-tests-if-you-do-not-have-symptoms/
You should not attend choir (and let us know!) if:
-
You test positive
-
You have any COVID symptoms
-
Anyone in your household has had COVID 19 symptoms within the previous 48hrs
-
You are isolating for any reason
Rehearsal Venue precautions
When you enter the building, and while moving around, please wear a mask until you are seated.
In the spirit of ‘Track and Trace’, you will be asked to sign a register at each rehearsal to confirm that: -
-
you have no COVID symptoms
-
you attended that session
Where practical, we will arrange seating to allow 1.2 – 2 metres between individuals.
If we stand to sing, please maintain the separation.
Once seating arrangements are established, please return to the same position each week.
Windows and doors may be opened during rehearsal to ensure adequate ventilation.
In cooler weather make sure you are well wrapped up!!
